Class B Benchtop Autoclave Application:
Class B Benchtop Autoclave is a high-performance compact sterilization device featuring a multi-pulse pre-vacuum air removal system. With post-vacuum drying function, addressing the industry pain point of damp and easily contaminated loads after sterilization. It is a cost-effective sterilization option for small and medium-sized enterprises and professional organizations.
Class B Benchtop Autoclave Feature:
- An intelligent LCD screen displays real-time information of temperature, pressure, time, operating status, and fault alarms, facilitating the monitoring of equipment.
- Multiple programs are available: built-in bare-metal program, encapsulation program, BD test program, Helix test program, and vacuum test program. Sterilization and drying times are adjustable to meet diverse sterilization needs.
- Fully automated operation: Encompassing water injection, pulsed vacuum, heating, sterilization, steam exhaust, and vacuum drying; easy to operate.
- 0.22 μm high-efficiency sterilizing air filter ensures that the air released during vacuum removal is sterile, effectively preventing secondary contamination of sterile items.
- Multiple safety protections: Equipped with over-temperature/over-pressure protection and safety interlock protection, ensuring safe and reliable equipment operation.
- Built-in condensate tank: Open condensate tank design for easy cleaning and maintenance, equipped with a water level monitoring function to prevent the risk of dry burning.
- Built-in printer can record sterilization process data such as time and date, equipment information, and program parameters, meeting the needs of quality traceability.
- Sterilization chamber and door cover are made of 304 stainless steel, ensuring stable and reliable quality. 316L stainless steel is optional, offering superior corrosion resistance.
- Optional water quality monitoring function to ensure that the water quality meets requirements.

What Does “Class B” Mean in an Autoclave?
“Class B” is the highest sterilization classification for small steam sterilizers under the European standard EN 13060. A Class B autoclave uses a pre-vacuum and post-vacuum system to remove air from the chamber before sterilization, allowing saturated steam to fully penetrate all types of loads.
Difference between Class N and Class B autoclaves
| Feature | Class N | Class B |
| Vacuum System | No | Yes |
| Wrapped Instruments | Limited | Yes |
| Hollow Instruments | No | Yes |
| Porous Loads | No | Yes |
| Sterilization Capability | Basic | Advanced |
Class B offers the highest sterilization capability.
How Does It Work?
Before steam enters the chamber, the vacuum pump removes trapped air.
This allows steam to penetrate difficult areas such as the following:
Hollow tubes
Wrapped packs
Porous materials
Typical sterilization conditions include 121 ℃ or 134 ℃ under pressurized saturated steam.
