FAQ

How is deionized water purified?

In the deionization process, water is passed through a tank or cartridge containing resin beads with positive and negative charges. These beads attract and capture ions of the opposite charge, effectively removing them from the water. As the water flows through the system, the ions are left behind on the resin beads. This technique is known as ion exchange.

What’s the difference between RO and DI water purification?

RO (Reverse Osmosis) water purification uses a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities from water by applying pressure to force water molecules through the membrane, leaving contaminants behind. DI (Deionization) water purification uses ion-exchange resins to remove ions from water, producing highly pure water by exchanging ions with hydrogen and hydroxide ions.
